Momma Hunt

I don't have a ton to report it was a crazy week with a few days off for vacation and a few days back at work and add to it bad weather.  I have been hanging in. Weight wise I am a bit up this week from stress eating. There is some major issues in my real life that I am sure I will share when I am ready to hit the publish button.  We had a #disneyside party at our house this weekend and lets just say I am at the point where I need to just throw left overs away because me and stress and sweets are not a good combo-ever!

As far as this weeks topic I am always willing to hear what are good things to look at changing for the better for my kids.  That is why I started on this journey because I wanted to get healthy to be a role model for them.  I am always looking at what small changes I can do to make their lives better.  For me I a can't do radical full change, I am a small step girl.  So for me the first big small step I took was changing over to organic dairy and meat when we can and organic fruits and veggies as much as possible.  It just makes me feel better that I am making good choices with my money for my family.

On a related note I am loving the topic of the week for Mamavation (if you all haven't gotten on the Mamavation train you so need to-go to the site right now www.mamamvation.com) or check them out on FB great stuff.  The weekly blogging carnival has helped me find some many great new products and see what other real life busy moms are doing to improve their families lives.

I saw so many photos over the weekend on Instagram from people having those Disney parties, they looked lots of fun, and so much yummy stuff too.
You will lose your gain in no time.

  2. I totally get the stress eating and sweets in house as a bad combo. I have a hard time resisting too.

You can do it. Nothing wrong with a pound gain if it helps you refocus and move forward!

I love parties but I can't have the sweets stay after the people are gone. They have to go too. I can withstand temptation for a while but when I give it is is bad. Be strong and send those sweets away. I find sending them to my husbands work is always a good way to get rid of anything I don't want in the house.

  4. First, I love the lay out of your blog. The notebook theme is so welcoming.

I agree that we need to get healthy for our our kids...to be role models. I start out really well but always fall back to old habits. I have to keep trying for the sake of just living longer to be here for my son who has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy and epilepsy.

I try to be the best example for my household. There are days when I am successful, and my meals, exercises, and products are well-planned. Then there are other days when...meh, not so much. I have to admit that I am learning and getting better, but it takes a great deal of time and effort.

Yeah, those sponsored party leftovers have got to go! They rarely hook you up with the healthiest options. Being a small change at a time person is much more balanced than changing everything at once. You sound like you are heading in a positive direction.
